Wizard of Oz

This is a poster illustration based on the story of Wizard of Oz. This is my reinterpretation of it, which can be seen with the witch's modern red shoes as well as a modern cityscape.

This is my project from the Illustration from Imagination course by Paintable. I learnt a lot over the past 8 weeks, and really happy with the final product. i wanted to push the idea further with a complex background, multiple characters but decided against it as I really wanted to push the rendering as much as possible, which was possible thanks to a simpler composition.
